April 21, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to welcome United City FC as its newest expansion club for the Spring Season.

Based in Lake Forest, CA, plays in the UPSL Western Conference SoCal Division. The club will host its home games at Lake Forest Sports Park (28000 Rancho Pkwy, Lake Forest, CA 92630).

United City FC is owned by the SUSA Foundation. Steve Hawthorne serves as Club Chairman. The team will compete exclusively in the UPSL.

UPSL Western Conference Manager Gary Brunner said, "We are happy to have United City FC join the SoCal Division. UCFC is a strong club with UPSL experience on the coaching staff and a vision for growth in its community. We welcome UCFC to the UPSL and wish them luck in their first season."

Shaun Harris is the Sporting Director for United City FC. Dakota Collins is the Head Coach.

"We feel United City FC can raise awareness of many talented players who fell through the cracks, those who aren't part of the college system for MLS Draft, players who lacked opoertunities to play or were ineligible to due to academic requirements, economic circumstances or lack of exposure," Hawthorne said. "This is something we're addressing as a club and it's our mission to build a club for the future. We are committed to ensuring UCFC becomes a club for people to support and the home to many future internationals."
